This week I had the opportunity to observe a grammar class taught by Ryan Fleming.  The class was small, only around ten students from a number of different countries. The teacher began his class by reviewing a bit of homework.  The students utilized the tools for their grammar lesson to write a series of short statements about their daily schedule, and their partner was asked to guess if each statement was true.  By putting the new learned phrases in a conversational context, many of the students grasped their use very quickly. The teacher then move on to a second activity in which students were asked to write a short composition using the grammar tools they learned previously.  The students then partnered up in order to review each other's writing. As this occurred, the teacher went around the room listening for “beautiful mistakes.” The lesson ended with a review of some of the beautiful mistakes students made and how they could learn from them
