Harrison Butcher TS #5

For Ali’s second tutoring session, we worked on rephrasing short statements by reducing the number of adjectives and using the past participle.  This session was very interesting as I could see Ali improve very visibly. In order to teach him how to paraphrase, I first had him look for adjectives within the given sentence.  He would then highlight what he found, and work on rephrasing the statement by removing them. Afterwards, I reviewed the statement and highlighted any adjectives that were missed. Ali would then remove these adjectives and show me the completed work.  Ali and I worked on these statements for about an hour via Skype, and over this time he became much better at finding the adjectives in the given sentences.
