For my Final Conversation Partner meeting I met Jaemu at the Public Library on December 23rd, 2018. Jaemu started the conversation by telling me about his date! He said he had a lot of fun. He picked his date up and took her to a party which was a policeman's ball. He said it was not ballroom dancing, but his date danced with him and taught him how to get funky on the dance floor. Afterwards he said he took her to level 8, where they had coffee, before dropping her back at home. He said he was surprised that the woman had an adult daughter, and though she looked much younger; he also wondered why she was divorced. I explained to Jaemu that it is not uncommon for people to have children at a young age and/or out of wedlock in America. Jaemu told me about how it is still common in Korea to expect a woman to be a virgin until she is married. This led to more in depth discussion about love and relationships in the modern world, as well as religion and church functions. The meeting ended with Jaemu wishing me a Merry Christmas, and me wishing him good luck on the golf course (he said he planned to play a lot since he doesn't have family to celebrate with here).
